Archive Center for Anime Studies, Niigata University will hold an international conference “Beyond Theorizing Anime: Voices and Archiving” online on March 6 (Saturday) and 7 (Sunday), 2021.
We are currently accepting applications for speakers.

Schedule:

  • Day 1 (Sat 6 Mar)
      – Presentations with Voices
      – Invited Round Table “Considering the Reception of Anime in East and South East Asia in the 1990s in
    Relation to Anime’s Localized Voices” (The detail of speakers will be soon noticed)
  • Day 2 (Sun 7 Mar)
      – Presentations with Animation’s Intermediate Materials and Archiving
      – Invited Round Table “Anime’s Intermediate Materials Speak” (The detail of speakers will be soon noticed)

Language:
Japanese and English (Each participant can choose one language; no service for interpretation provided by the conference organizers). Round Table in Japanese Alone.
